1. Preamble

a. Principle

We at Ordonnia strive to foster a healthy and fun community. We publish these Guidelines as general instructions as to "how to behave appropriately", but we will always apply a "rule of cool": if everyone in a given conversation is fine with minor transgressions (such as occasional swearing or off-limit jokes), we will not consider it a violation.

Nevertheless, we cannot "assume" when everyone is fine with a given transgression. As such, your contribution to the community through reports (initiated by opening a request to Ordonnia Help) is crucial. If you see something that makes you or another member uncomfortable, please report it to our team.

You agree to abide by these Guidelines at all times in the Service. Furthermore, we expect you to follow these Guidelines outside of the Service when interacting with individuals that use the Service alongside you.

b. Terminology

We use the following terminology in these Guidelines:

2. Respect

We ask you to respect each other at all times and without exception. As such, you may not:

a. Share any hate speech or use any discriminatory language on the Service; b. Spread targeted hate or insults at individuals or groups; c. Use the Service as a vector for attacks on privacy or decency.

3. Safety

We ask that you use the Service in a safe manner. As such, you may not:

a. Share any personal information on the Service; b. Use the Service solely to find a romantic partner; c. Show reckless behaviour when using the Service.

4. Civility

We ask you to stay civil when using the Service. We ask that you:

a. Not use the Service as a vector for creating or sharing conflicts, arguments, or fights; b. Not create or foster a divide within users or groups of the Service. c. All disputes - whether with other users or with the Service - should be settled in private.

5. Content guidelines

a. Shocking content

We do not tolerate shocking content. We strive to keep the Service accessible for ages 13 and up. As such, we do not allow:

1. Gore, traumatising, or shocking content; 2. Terrorism or extremism, or any content encouraging it; 3. Content encouraging suicide, self-harm, or self-deprecation; 4. Sexual, suggestive, or explicit content, including all content that can be partially interpreted as sexual; 5. Strong profanity; 6. Disturbing content in general; 7. Fake, unsubstantiated, or deceptive information; 8. Content that can cause harm (e.g., flashing images).

b. Irrelevant content

We ask that you keep your Content interesting, relevant, and valuable. We do not allow: 1. Content with no value, such as "flooding"; 2. Unsolicited advertisements or promotions (e.g., "spam"); 3. Obnoxious content (e.g., abusive uses of sound effects); 4. Content in a different language than the one currently spoken in the conversation; 5. Content that does not fit the theme of the space in which it is posted.
